The-First-Printer-Records

I suppose type written documents will vanish after the invention of computers and printers.
It is easy to tell the difference in type written text and text written with a printer.
The first printers were dot matrix, then came along ink jet and laser printers.

Printers did not come along until around 1970.

If you are tracking an ancestor born before 1965 and you find their birth records were printed with a printer, then you do NOT have the birth record tying you to that ancestor ... and if you can not produce the original version, your print out is not even a copy.
You can not copy any thing when you do not have that thing to copy from

If that relative was born before 1874, it must be a hand written version to have a chance of being the original because type writers were not in in existence until after 1874.
